You tell The Verdict about a business idea you may not have told anyone else. This page explains, in plain words, what we keep, why, who else sees it and how to get it deleted.

Who we are

The Verdict is run by Domantas in Lithuania ("we"), who is the data controller for the information described here. Questions or requests: klientai@novera.lt.

What we keep

  • What you write: your pitch, your interview answers, appeal notes, questions you ask the judge and the progress you mark on your 14-day plan.
  • What the panel writes: the web research, the four jurors' reviews and the verdict.
  • A random ID created in your browser. It links your verdicts to your browser instead of an account. We don't ask for your name, email or a password.
  • A one-way, salted fingerprint (hash) of your IP address, used to count free verdicts per day and to stop abuse. We never store the IP address itself.
  • Your language choice, kept in a cookie. Form drafts stay in your own browser and are never sent to us until you submit.

Our hosting providers also keep standard technical logs (such as the time and type of a request) to run and secure the service.

Please don't put sensitive personal information, or other people's confidential information, into a pitch. The Verdict doesn't need it to judge an idea.

Why we use it

  • To give you the service you asked for: run the interview, research the market and write your verdict (performing our agreement with you).
  • To enforce the free daily limit and keep the service from being abused (our legitimate interest).
  • To find and fix mistakes in how the panel works, which can mean reading individual cases (our legitimate interest).

We don't sell your data, show ads or build marketing profiles. We don't use your ideas for anything other than running and improving The Verdict.

Who else processes it

We use a small number of providers to run the service. Each only gets what it needs:

  • Lovable, which hosts the site (on Cloudflare's network) and provides the gateway to the AI models.
  • Supabase, which stores the database and the link-preview pictures.
  • Google, whose Gemini models (reached through Lovable's AI gateway) read your pitch and answers to write the questions, reviews and verdict.
  • Tavily, a web search service that receives the search phrases built from your pitch, such as your idea's name followed by "competitors".

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Union. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised by EU law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Sharing

Your verdicts are private by default. If you turn on sharing for a report, anyone with the link can read it, except your questions to the judge and your plan progress. A preview picture with the verdict, score, title and headline is created so the link looks right when posted. You can turn sharing off at any time, and the link stops working.

The examples page only shows sample pitches we wrote ourselves.

How long we keep it

We keep a verdict until you delete it. You can delete any verdict yourself under "my verdicts", which removes it, its answers, research and preview picture from our database. We may also delete verdicts that haven't been opened for 24 months. Technical logs are kept for a short time by our hosting providers under their own policies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Because there are no accounts, the easiest way is to email us the link to the verdict you mean. You can also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt) or to the data protection authority where you live.

Age

The Verdict is meant for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we will show a notice on the site.
